The Giant Tube Worm is also known as Riftia pachyptila. The Giant Tube Worm reproduces by females releasing their eggs into the water and the males releasing sperm into the water. When the sperm and the eggs meet, the eggs fertilize. When the eggs hatch, the larvae swim to the bottom of the ocean and attach themselves to rocks. The larvae eventually grow into tiny worms and then into full grown adults.
