The terrestrial Planarian is also known as Geoplanidae. The Terrestrial Planarian is hermaphroditic and is able to produce sexually or asexually. While producing sexually, the worm create egg capsules which hatch about three weeks after deposition. The egg capsules have a tough exterior and contain several eggs. Asexual fragmentation is also a main reproductive strategy. This is when the worm splits to form two new identical worms.
